Who is Hope For?
We support people with a cancer diagnosis and their loved ones.
Do i need to make an appointment?
While ringing the centre in advance will ensure that we will see you straight away on arrival, no appointment is necessary. We operate a 'Drop In' service daily between 10am and 3.30pm.
What will happen when i arrive?
You will usually be met by one of our centre volunteers who will show you in and offer you a cuppa. You will then meet one of the support nurses who will listen to you and outline what supports are available to you.
What model of care is adopted by the hope centre?
We are a nurse led and client centred service. The client always leads the way and decides what they want from us. All services offered by Hope are evidence based and employ recognised best practice.
What Services Are Available At Hope?
We provide nurse support and consultation, counselling and psychotherapy, massage and reflexology, yoga, art and craft classes, meditation groups, manual lymphatic drainage, bra, prosthesis and wig fitting, cancer support groups and bereavement support groups. We also run a number of specific focus programmes throughout the year for example a prostate cancer programme, a climb programme and a strides programme.
How Much Will It Cost?
The services at Hope are offered free of charge.
