DESCRIPTION:Community Law & Mediation (CLM) is a community law centre\, which provides free legal advice\, advocacy and mediation services. \nIn partnership with the Irish Cancer Society\, CLM is running a monthly\, free legal advice clinic specialising in social welfare rights and appeals\, including overpayments. \nFree legal advice is available relating to: \n  \n\nCarer’s Supports\nIllness/Disability Supports\nAll other social welfare payments\nMedical Card Application Appeals Rejections\n\n  \nThe next free legal advice clinic will take place on 17th February and each third Thursday of the following month unless it conflicts with a holiday. We will notify in advance each month. \n  \nPeople who would like to learn more about the service should get in touch with the Irish Cancer Society Support Line on 1800 200 700 or email poruairc@irishcancer.ie by 14th February at the latest. Please note that appointments are limited and therefore not guaranteed additionally the Society must review the applicant to ensure they are suitable for referral to CLM under this scheme. Due to COVID-19 restrictions\, legal advice clinic appointments will take place by phone.

DESCRIPTION:Register here at www.hopeanddream10.com\n  \n \nHope and Dream 10 will take place on Sunday April 2nd 2023 in aid of the Hope Cancer Support Centre CLG. We look forward to your participation and support. Similar to last year\, the proceeds will again go to supporting our services for clients. These include support worker assessment and support\, counselling\, reflexology\, massage\, lymphoedema treatment \, bra and prosthesis fitting along with all our support groups. We are in the process of redeveloping the Centre and incorporating the new premises into the old. It is important to note that a completely separate funding stream will be utilised to fund the development and no Hope and Dream 10 proceeds will be used for this development. \nWe are delighted to offer the choice of a virtual event again this year along with the option of 10 km and 10 mile. This does however create an additional administrative challenge and we would ask that you please read the FAQs at https://www.hopeanddream10.com/faqs/ before you register for the event.\nHope and Dream 10 continues to be a major event in the South East. The money raised over the past 11 years has made a huge difference to the quality of life for hundreds of people across County Wexford. DESCRIPTION:The Hope Cancer Support Centre is looking forward to meeting everyone on Wednesday June 21st on Curracloe beach for what promises to be a truly wonderful evening. The evening will begin at 7.30pm with an opening ceremony. The walkers will quietly and mindfully walk along the beach. It will end with some meditation and a candlelight summer solstice Ceremony of Healing and Light. We wish to emphasise that the 21st of June is not a race or marathon but more a leisurely evening of walking in nature and slowing down to enjoy the many gifts that Curracloe beach has to offer. It is a chance to come together in a positive way for a night of healing and remembrance of all things positive in our lives. So whatever your own private intentions are\, it is an opportunity for you to touch in to those on the night.

DESCRIPTION:  \nChoirs at Christchurch – in aid of Talk To Tom and The Hope Centre Charities.\nThe multi-award-winning Bridgend Welsh Male Voice Choir (Cor Meibion Pen-Y-Bont) will perform a special concert in aid of two Wexford charities. Fresh from their mesmerising on-stage performance with Coldplay at Cardiffs Principality Stadium earlier this summer – the group will appear at the spectacular setting of Christchurch\, Gorey on Saturday\, September 2nd\, to help raise funds for Talk To Tom Suicide Prevention and The Hope Centre. \nThe group\, who also appeared on Chris Martin and Co’s 2017 ‘Head Full Of Dreams’ Album\, stunned 140\,000 fans over two nights in June this year by closing the superstar bands’ sold-out shows in the Welsh Capital. They will appear in the special concert alongside their Celtic cousins\, The Wexford Male Voice Choir\, who are hosting the Welsh group in the county. The groups perform many genres\, from Elvis to Welsh language hymns. \nThe event is being held as part of the Gorey Rangers Festival of Football programme\, which has seen a number of fundraising events take place for the two charities in August. \n  \nTwo Charities are: \n  \nTalk to Tom \nHope Cancer Support Centre \n

DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to inform you that a volunteer skin care & make-up artist from the “Look Good Feel Better” charity organisation will be holding a workshop: \n  \nHeld: The Hope Cancer Support Centre \nWhen: Tuesday 19th September \nTime: 11am – 1pm \n  \nFinding out you have cancer can be daunting and life-changing and the added stress of the appearance-related side effects of treatment can be demoralising and very hard to cope with. This can have serious consequences on self-esteem and confidence at a time when a positive attitude is very important. \nOur vision is that the Look Good Feel Better programme be an integral part of cancer care in Ireland supporting people with cancer. \nOur mission is to help improve the well-being and confidence of women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer.
