DESCRIPTION:Women’s Monthly Support Group\n  \nOur first women’s monthly cancer support group meeting will be on the Friday 14th February 2025 from 10.30am -12pm. \nFollowing this meeting the group will then be held on the second Friday of each month from 10.30am-12pm. \n  \nThe group is open to women of all ages with all types of cancer. This is an opportunity for women to meet in a relaxed and friendly space to share their questions\, worries\, fears\, and experiences of living with cancer over a cup of tea. Talking to others who have a similar experience can be very helpful and supportive. It can be a place to speak about concerns that may be difficult to express outside of the group. \n  \nIf you wish to register\, please contact the centre on 053 9238555 or email info@hopesupportcentre.ie \n

SUMMARY:Chair Yoga Programme (Week 5)
DESCRIPTION:Our Six-week Chair Yoga Programme \nChair yoga is an adapted form of yoga practice that allows you to stay seated while practicing yoga focused poses. It can be practiced by anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of yoga and may (or may not) have mobility limitations. \nOur gentle yoga classes begin with movements seated in a chair and continue to standing postures with the option of using the chair for support. Traditional yoga movements\, breathing\, and meditation techniques are adapted so everyone can receive the benefits of yoga regardless of level of health. \nIn addition to a good stretch\, chair yoga participants can also enjoy other health benefits of yoga may include: \n\nImproved Flexibility\nBuilding Strength\nImproved Balance\nImprove Sleep\nReduce Fatigue\nReduce Stress\n\nIf you would like to take part\, please contact reception on 053-9238555 or email info@hopesupportcentre.ie

SUMMARY:Look Good Feel Better Workshop for Men (June)
DESCRIPTION:Look Good Feel Better for Men is a practical guide to help men deal with some of the side effects of cancer treatment including skin changes\, hair loss\, stress\, and other issues. In fact\, doctors agree a better outlook can begin by reducing the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. \n  \nLook Good Feel Better is dedicated to supporting you at every stage of your journey. This workshop will offer advice and guidance around the physical changes you may experience while undergoing treatment. It is open to anyone with any type of cancer. This group workshops will give expert advice on skincare during and post treatment; tips for shaving safely during treatment along with general grooming; the importance of sun protection\, and how to deal with scars. They are a great way to meet others on a similar journey to share experiences and ideas with. Everybody attending is gifted with a bag of full-size skincare and grooming products to try out during the workshop and take home with them \n  \n20th June \n11am – 1pm
